You've probably already got those ones in your collection anywho. Whackmypinata, I'd say check out the latest album, but also check out tracks like 'Ocean Breathes Salty', '3rd Planet', 'I came as a Rat', 'Bukowski', 'Paper Thin Walls' and 'Black Cadillacs'. Of course, everybody loves 'Floats On' from the album before that. Not that there is anything at all wrong with mainstream, it's just that a lot of their stuff is totally offbeat. I think tracks like 'Missed the Boat', 'Dashboard', and 'Florida' are more mainstream. Though not my favourite album, I'd say their most recent, 'We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank', is the most approachable album of theirs. That's not to say Modest Mouse isn't brillant either. As far as I'm concerned, Radiohead is in a league of their own. It's one of those songs to me that doesn't really need to be written about anything because the music itself does the storytelling, as lame as that sounds. I'd love to hear some of your guys' thoughts on what it's about because I really don't have a clue. I guess because of the drums, tambourine, speedy tempo and mysterious lyrics, it more just puts me in an awe and less of a depression. I don't know, I have a hard time finding the words to describe the things Thom Yorke writes-which is just another amazing layer of the wondrous Radiohead onion. The person is going and not only are they content, but they're consoling. Depressing for sure, but at the same time there is such hope and gratitude to it. It's such an appropriate and spectacular closing to In Rainbows. There's something so entrancing about that song.
